Depends on the Dance form one is learning. You can come with outfits of your choice (excepting saree and flairy or frilly long skirts/frocks/dress for women and dhotis for men) to Latin Classes. For Contemporary and Bollywood-Hip Hop Classes, comfort fit wears are advised. A little loose fit T-shirt and tracks are highly recommended.
Not at all. One can wear jazz shoes, bellies, palm shoes, low grip sneakers, etc. in Class. Even a pair of socks shall do to start with. Please note that no outside shoes are allowed inside the studio. A separate and clean pair may be kept exclusively for the dance floor.

A beginner is always taught separately from the basic level and is not lined up with rest of the Class in case she/he misses to join the batch from the very starting point. Only after the person learns the fundamentals, she/he is being gradually incorporated into the existing group.
